Maxin' and Relaxin'

Surprisingly, we're hanging out, one week away from the special day, me drinkin' Budweiser, and Ms K drinkin' "just a vodka cocktail" of ginger ale and lingonberry syrup.
I thought we'd be going crazy, ripping our hair out at this point, but maybe we have it all in order?! Who knows. We know the food/drink/music/venue will be right. All we need are the people to frequent the place.
For those at home keeping tabs...
the wedding dress is finished, DJ Tyson is locked in, dessert tasting with Tiny was AMAZING, the beer order was placed (Abita Amber and Speakeasy White Lightning for those inquiring), and we solidified our school bus as your evening chauffer!!!
Seven days, hugs and kisses - K+J

shuttles, parking, and food gatherings

Is it really NINE days away already?  The days are zooming by...  We're finalizing the transportation options and have some extra events for everyone.

s h u t t l e s
Pick-ups will occur at the Larkspur and Acqua Hotels at the following times:

LARKSPUR :: 4:15, 4:40, 5:05
ACQUA :: 4:35, 5:00

p a r k i n g
We strongly encourage you to take the shuttle to the wedding site.  If you would still like to drive, parking is limited to street availability because of the Mill Valley Film Festival.  Residential neighborhoods north of the Outdoor Art Club will be the best place for un-metered parking spots.

You can also park near the Larkspur or Acqua Hotel and catch the shuttle to and from the wedding site.

Join friends and family for a special lunch deal at Mill Valley Beerworks!  Our good friend Nelle has worked with Beerworks to provide a beer + sandwich deal for our guests.  Stop by between 12pm-2pm to enjoy a beverage and a bite to eat.  You may even get to see the groom and groomsmen while you're there!

address is 173 Throckmorton Avenue in Mill Valley

Before we bid farewell, have a delicious breakfast with everyone at the Larkspur Hotel.  The Harm family will be providing cold and hot breakfast items from 9am-12pm.  We hope to see you there!

Marriage is a go!

In a whirl of DJs, transportation companies, and vow-writing, we did something today to make our October 8th date "real" - we went to SF City Hall to obtain our marriage license. This simple, procedural step, no matter how mundane, puts it all into perspective. As we raised our right hands, swearing we told enough of the truth, we looked at each other and smiled.
We're ready for this day, and for many days to come thereafter. The few weeks ahead of us are both quickly approaching and yet couldnt come sooner.
We can't wait to see you!

Holy cow, time flies when you're...

[Firstly, Katie and I wish to send a BIG thank you to Mrs. Jen Bannister for the LOVELY invitations. Your time and effort paid off so beautifully. Now, the RSVP responses are flooding our mailbox...thanks in advance!]
So time is FLYING by in this wedding process. We are so appreciative of our closest friends and family who will be celebrating with us in our important steps together, as a newlywed couple.
[With that being said, at the moment, Katie is doing some freaky-deeky hand gesture simulating our wedding processional music...quite a blast we're having. I cannot wait for the rest of life being like this ;). ]
We JUST returned from two Boston weddings, and we're next (wow). Exciting and daunting simultaneously, but we are getting ready both in the physical and mental sense. Right before we left, we met with our wedding officiant, Nance Urban. What a strong and inspiring person. We're just glad that she accepted being part of our special day.
Finally, a few points of interest as we get closer to the date...
- Book Alcatraz soon if you wish to go. Most people know this already, but for those not familiar, these book up quickly.
- It is SF Fleet Week, and a friend told us car rentals are going fast. Just FYI. For more info on the event, click on the link below.
- It is Mill Valley Film Festival as well. Hopefully most of you have the hotel booked but maybe this will entice you to hurry up! Also, this may be a fun event to experience, if you can...
- Our good SF friends have taken the initiative to organize an informal beer tasting event at a delicious place called Mill Valley Beerworks. This will start at approx 530pm Friday, the 7th. Stay tuned for more details.
As a final note, we will be providing transportation to/from hotels the night of the wedding until the restaurant closes, so everyone can get home safely.
Can't wait to celebrate with you all.
With love, K+J

Less than two months to go...invites coming!

Well, life is sure catching up with us! In typical Katie/Jason style, we are having an overbooked, yet thoroughly enjoyable summer. We hope you have your flight and hotels booked for what should be a great and celebratory weekend in October. Keep an eye out for our invites, and please pass along any changes of address.
We're excited to announce the menu is being finalized with our Chef, and Katie's sister Jen has created BEAUTIFUL invitations that we're excited to send to you (thanks Jen!). Our five week honeymoon in southern Africa is starting to take shape, with Kruger Park's safari adventures up next to plan. Suits are bought, dresses are altered, table pieces are being finalized...pretty much all we're missing is you.
Love you all, and hope to see you in Mill Valley. Click on the tabs above for further info!
With love, K+J
